Cozad Community Wound Care Clinic is located in Cozad Community Hospital. We also visit homebound patients through Central Plains Home Health & Hospice.

After growing up in the rural Sandhills community of Hyannis Nebraska, Robert attended Wayne State College. here he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Sciences with a minor in Biological Sciences. He then attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha where he received his Masters of Physical Therapy graduating with Distinction. He later completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at UNMC in 2005.
Robert has been the director of the physical therapy department for Cozad Community Hospital since 2005. He is one of only two physical therapists in the state of Nebraska that is Board certified in both Orthopeadic physical therapy and wound care. He is also certified to perform Functional Dry Needling. For the last 15 years he has been a clinical instructor, where he enjoys mentoring physical therapy students during their clinical internships. The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) has recognized him as an Advanced Credentialed Clinical Instructor. Recently Robert was selected to help teach lab and lecture content to students at the UNMC Physical Therapy site in Kearney.
Robert is an active member of the APTA and has served on the Nebraska Chapters Executive Board for the since 2011. Currently he is serving as Nebraska’s Chief Delegate.
Outside of the clinic Robert can be found at home spending time with his wife Ann and their 3 children. Robert enjoys sports and the great outdoors. He loves to hunt and train hunting dogs. He also enjoys woodworking and building just about anything.
Jillian is a Cozad native, graduating from Cozad High School in 2000. She received her Associates Degree in Nursing in 2002 and has been an employee with the Cozad Community Health System since that time. Jillian began her employment with the health systems working night shift as a floor nurse for 8 years before she transitioned to Central Plains Home Health and Hospice. In that job she discovered her passion for wound care and pursued further education and later board certification in wound care and diabetic wound care. Currently Jillian provides care to patients in Central Plains Home Health and Hospice as well as in the wound clinic. Outside of work Jillian enjoys spending time with her 2 children, attending their activities and participating on the swim team with them, spending time outdoors and baking.
